Quality Hotels and Resorts
5 Star Hotel in Broadbeach on it's own island. It encompasses the famous, fantastic and newly renovated Jupiters Casino. Numerous good Bars, cocktail lounges and restaurants within the complex and no need to leave the building! Excellent leisure facilities and pool/spa area. Catch the monorail about 300 metres to the Oasis Shopping Centre or Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club.
A very short walk to the MASSIVE Pacific Fair Shopping Complex and Draculas Cabaret Restaurant. Also see the show at the Casino in true Los Vegas style. I recommend getting the Dinner/Show Package where you can choose your restaurant within the complex including the show admission price.
This Hotel has the No.1 all round package for the Gold Coast in my view. The only downside is that it is about 350 metres walk to the beach, but that is very doable.
The only 5 star resort situated in an absolute beachfront location on the Gold Coast.
Located an easy 5-10 minutes drive north of Surfers Paradise, close to Seaworld and across the road from Palazzo Versace. A Fantastic pool area with swans swimming about. I reccomend the seafood and breakfast buffet. A great luxury option for families and those wanting to escape the rat race of Surfers but still be close enough to catch a cab home.
Good restaurant options over the road at Marina Mirage also.
Apparently the only "6" star hotel on the Gold Coast and Australia. I don't know about that, but it's definately an over the top 5 star hotel with a room rate to match, in the same location as the Sheraton Mirage Resort.
Only scores behind the Sheraton as you have to cross a road to get to the beach and the pool area is lacking and not that private.
If you have a heap of money to burn on Versace toiletries and don't intend on leaving the room, then this would be a pleasant option.
5 Star resort situated on a busy road away from the beach and north of the Surfers Paradise CBD, but still within a pretty easy walk.
Scores well for a fantastic lobby, great buffet restaurant and seriously good "beach" style pool including tropical fish swimming about and white sand sunbaking.
Grab your snorkel gear when you stay here and I'm sure you won't be dissapointed!
Newly renovated 5 star hotel in Broadbeach, sitting atop the Oasis Shopping Centre. It has changed hands quite a few times over the years and I can't help but feel the lingering legacy of it's 4 star past.
However, there are many great restaurants underneath the building and the beach is only a short stroll away. As an added bonus, you can easily catch the monorail across to the fun of Jupiters Casino across the Gold Coast Highway.
5 Star resort located within the Sanctuary Cove Complex about 15-20 minutes drive north of Surfers Paradise. A good option if you intend on getting away from it all or using it as a base for theme park hopping (Dreamworld/Movie World/Wet n Wild/Outback Spectacular)
Heaps of interesting shops and good value restaurants/bars are also within the Sanctuary Cove Complex, which really is it's own tourist destination.
I can recommend Georges Paragon Seafood Restaurant there and if you are seated before 6.30pm you can enjoy all the yummy food for half price!
I would go and have a look at this area even if you don't stay there.
FANTASTIC sandy bottomed lagoon pool scores big points.
Ok, it's not a 5 star hotel but it's got to be 4 or 4 1/2?
AND it's the tallest residential building in the world!!
If you stay here make sure you try and get the highest floor available with ocean views. Situated right in Surfers Paradise and across the road from a very pleasant beach.
As it is only newly constructed, furnishing are still good quality, modern if somewhat sparse.
A different type of holiday experience!
P.S Make sure you go to the observation deck. It costs about $15 AUD but worth it at least once.
