San Jose - Arenal - Monteverde - Sarchi - San Jose
It was a home away from home. We stayed here our first and last two nights in Costa Rica. The managers and staff couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were immaculate. The beds were very comfortable. The living room has almost floor to ceiling windows along one entire wall with a gorgeous view of the gardens and city. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and best Gallo Pinto I had in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, the pancakes everyone raved about were not an option. It was a great place to relax afer travelling around the country. The hotel staff arranged our pick up and drop off at the airport and our rental car for the week.
The property was beautifully landscaped and conveniently located. The rooms were immaculately clean. Unfortunately, it rained three days straight while we were there. It was so cloudy we could barely make out the base of the volcano let alone view the top. We were thankful for the air conditioning because it dispersed the humidity. The included breakfast was very good and provided a great start to each day. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in arranging tours. They book through Sunset Tours.
Convenient place to stay in center of town. Very clean and cheap place. It was only $40 / night for three people. Owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful. Has cable TV and Safety Deposit Box. However, does not have A/C or screens on windows. It was cool at night though with just the fan. However, if you intend to spend any time in your hotel during the day to hang out and relax , it is not as comfortable.
