3 days Paris, Easyjet to Naples, transfer to Amalfi (4 days), train to Rome (3 days), train to Florence (4 days, with 1 day bus trip to Siena), train to Venice (2 days), overnight train to Zurich (morning trip to Lucerne, afternoon in Zurich), Vevey (2 days, 1 day tour Gruyere and Broc), train to Geneva (cruise on the lake), continue by train to Lyon (1 day), back to Paris for a flight home.

    One of our less successful bookings - the air conditioning did not work, the room was too small even for our modest expectations, and the breakfast was dreadful.

    Another misnomer - the location is even better than advertised - you can almost touch the Baptistery from the window. But the appartment wasn't a real 2 bedroom as we requested but rather a 1 bedroom and ante-chamber with no window, no air conditioning, VERY noisy, and a squeaky toilet door. The bed was for the young and fit and the smell of mildew triggered the allergies.

    One of our favorites! The bus going to Venice stopped right outside. The service was superb, no, even better than superb, we were amazed! Not only efficient and helpful, but truly friendly and kind. The rooms were great. The breakfast was so exceptional, we even came back to the hotel for supper, and loved that too!

    What a great hotel! Very close to the railway station, superb rooms, great if somewhat reserved service (they even gave each of us an umbrella for our trip to Lucerne on a rainy day), excellent breakfast.
