A visit to Pie de la Cuesta or Barra Vieja offer wonderful alternatives to the hustle & bustle of the main city.

  • 1. Hacienda Vayma (Pie de la Cuesta)

    No longer a hidden gem but a well known establishment by Coyuca Lagoon where you can enjoy some relaxation while consuming a few drinks or dining on fresh seafood or their specialty pizzas for which they are known. All visitors are welcome here. They have one of the more unique pools around with a swim up bar only steps away from the Pacific. This destination in Pie de la Cuesta is about 11 miles from the city center.

    Located directly next to Vayma this restaurant offers both beachfront & Lagoon side dining. The beauty of Coyuca Lagoon is unmatched in this colorful & well kept establishment. You can enjoy wave runner rentals or arrange to water ski from the dock of this restaurant as well. The fare here is terrific and fresh.

    Esmirna del Mar (Barra Vieja), Acapulco

    This restaurant located in Barra Vieja approx 23 miles from the city center is another place to kick up your heels while enjoying the tranquility & natural beauty of the area near Tres Palos lagoon. They have a pool on location & serve good food at a fair price. There are numerous places to visit in both BV or PDLC & you can find many more by searching the forum threads.
