What travellers are saying
- TerryliaJakarta, Indonesia125 contributionsIt's called the ruins of St. Paul's, so if you expect the whole church, you'll be disappointed. On the other hand, the facade is quite well preserved, and it has a good view of the surrounding area since it is situated on an elevated land.
Unfortunately, it was very crowded when I went there, so the experience wasn't that nice.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are lots of restaurants and shops around. Accessible public transportation. Close to the Sofitel and Grand Lisboa hotels. There are some historical attractions nearby, such as the ruins of St. Paul's, the museum, and Macau Cathedral's. A few-minute bus ride to the Macau Tower. The place can be very crowded, especially on weekends and public holidays.Written 25 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheOExpress🏴🇭🇰Hong Kong, China4,584 contributions…are pretty great and it’s fascinating to see how much the city in Guangdong has sprouted so quickly. However compared to lots of other viewing towers, it doesn’t seem like all that much thought has been given to the experience on the viewing platforms, other than funnelling people toward the very pricey air walk and bungee jump. Still, at its central aim, it’s great to see! Especially when walking on the glass and looking down, that’s a very good feature.Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - curious_and.curiouserSingapore110 contributionsArrived after lunch so both pandas were napping. We decided to wait a while and thankfully, they woke after about half an hour or so and we were treated to their cute antics - the way they handled their bamboo snacks really reminded me of Kung Fu Panda!
Besides the pandas, this place has a few other animal exhibits e.g. red pandas, lemurs, flamingos etc. Everything will take you max 1 - 1.5hrs. Admission is free so what's not to love?Written 17 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The good thing is the cable car is free for anyone to visit, making it a good activity to put on to your itinerary in Macau. Recommended visit time is in the evening where you can see the light and the dancing fountain. The queue is long but worth the wait. There is also some kind of pass that let people skip queues, but I don't think it's necessary.Written 18 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lester GencianeoMacau, China187 contributionstourists. It's a good place to go if you prefer to stay away from casinos and the crowded city of Macau.
Don't forget to try the popular egg tarts around the area. There are cafes and restaurants around.
The location is accessible by public transportation.Written 13 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Hugary1Sydney, Australia5,801 contributionsPart of our tour.
It was an interesting temple and a place to visit in December as it was quite hot. No real crowds which might be there in summer. Once again very few western tourist's and the driver was happy for us to take out time.
Took about an hour with a number of steps some just small rock ledges to navigate. Not a place for wheelchair access folks.
Its a quaint temple like many similar in many parts of China and Asia. But worth a lookWritten 7 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The small collection of alleys with colonial charm is the most popular attraction in the area. Nearly all tourist shops have an outlet here. This is also the best time to visit as the streets are not fully saturated at this moment.Written 10 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hugary1Sydney, Australia5,801 contributionsPart of our day tour. Driver waited while we explored without a time limit. It is an interesting structure with some great views of the city. The inside Museum requires and extra entry fee while entry into fortress is free. Clean bathrooms.
Plenty of signs and pamphlets to give you the details you might be looking for.
