While this one was definitely not the cheapest, it's easy to see why... 1) they have speedboats vs. dhows, i.e. 1/2 hour vs. 1.5 hours to get to the island 2) very professional guides and owners 3) if a site looks iffy, th..."ey'll move to another site (it's too slow with the dhows to do that) 4) they do all the work re: equipment, like 5-star diving This is not a party boat atmosphere. This is a diving outfit for divers. The ONLY reason this diving outfit didn't get 5 stars is because on my second dive day they paired me up with a novice diver who'd only completed certification dives and those were done two years prior. Most places would have insisted on a refresher course in this situation, but since it was off season (and maybe because he kept bragging about his "advanced certification") and we were the only two divers, they put us together.
