Living history in a ballpark format, I took the behind the scene tour as well. Which I enjoyed as much as seen my Hometown. Saint louis cardinals comma I sat on the green monster In my full cardinal regalia and the boston fans could not have been more hospitable .. That may have something to do with one of them pointed out that they've beat the cardinals in the World Series. The last two times comma but the boston fans were wonderful and the ballpark is breast taking

But this walk transports you back in time. The history behind everything you’ve grown up with is fascinating. Would highly recommend getting a guide.. It’s worth $15.00.. October 2018

Smashing museum - it had been 25 years since we had gone and the permanent collection exceeded our fond memories. In addition to the Monet room and the late/post-impressionists, we were particularly struck by the Greek/Roman collection and the excellent room dedicated to pre-Columbian Mexico which includes a dynamite collection of Maya pots (although there is no discussion of provenance).

We were motivated to come up specifically for the Sargent exhibit which did not disappoint, although I strongly agree with the other commenters that it was way too crowded. The only thing that saved it for us was going mid-afternoon and circling back to the start after the last admission window. Had we not been able to do that there would be fewer stars here!

Visited the Boston Garden during spring. Since there are lots of trees and flora, you can see spring in full bloom here. It is very beautiful and charming. You can bring your family, or significant other or even come solo. There are walking paths and sometimes you see street vendors on the outskirts.

This is a great place to learn more about how the independence war of the US started. Not only you get to interact with the staff and throw some tea to the sea, you also see a short film explaining how everything started.

I visited BPL to see the murals by John Singer Sargent, Edwin Austin Abbey, and Puvis de Chavannes. They are all overwhelming and on a scale that one would never see repeated in current times. Before corporate sponsorship there was the public good, and uplifting the mind and spirit is the essence of the BPL's mural cycles. Here, they continue to do so and have added more public spaces with contemporary necessities. Come for the great murals, and commend the city of Boston for its commitment to the public health and growth of the spirit.

Great exhibits and a fantastic facility. Spent 2.5 hours there; could have easily spent 4+ hours, if we had the time. Highly recommended.

Isabella Stewart Gardner's collection and museum is national treasure. This is a collection that she put together (with the help of Bernard Berenson) and built the museum to house. More recently it was added to with a design by Renzo Piano which adds a brilliantly bright space and doesn't harm the original but rather opens it up to a new generation of art lovers. The collection is massive and could never be amassed today. Leave yourself time to enjoy as much as possible -- although it would take weeks to reach the level of familiarity that one would want while visiting.

Amazing walking the different levels of this active duty ship. Self-guide tour. Lots of steps below deck. I could only imagine how loud and crowded it was during a battle.
