Even though we visited on a rainy day which got worse and worse we had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
We would have taken much more time than the hour and a half to linger and thoroughly appreciate these stunning gardens which really reminded me of a smaller version of Bodnant Gardens.
It was so bad we were given a laminated map of the grounds, what a marvellous idea.
Wish I could have bought some plants, but just wasn't practical for us being so wet and being on a mini break in Angelsey.
Gardeners World 2 for 1 are only accepted on certain days, so check GW website 1st.

This is a wonderful little church offering wonderful views over the swirly water, with bridges to left and right. It is easy to park for. Well worth a look.

Better for younger kids, we we to relive our childhood for the afternoon. Can be done in a couple hours. Take your own binoculars for the bird walk at the end.
Also wear good grip shoes for the butterfly house as the floors are often wet.

We drive over the Menai Suspension Bridge on our return journey from Anglesey whist on route from Beaumaris to Bangor. Designed by Thomas Telford to link the Isle of Anglesey to the Welsh mainland and completed in 1826, it was the world's first major suspension bridge and is a Grade 1 listed structure. It is marvellous to know that almost two hundred years after its construction, traffic still passes over its deck suspended high over the Menai Straits.
As you cross you pass though the arches of the support columns and the in the narrow carriageways in between the huge suspension chains run either side of the bridge. There is a separate pedestrian path either side of the carriageway and this must give some very good views of the surrounding area.

A fascinating museum housed in a former school & run by friendly knowledgeable volunteers. The museum houses displays illustrating the history of the Menai bridges, the alternative designs considered and the methods of contruction. A display and online video cover the events of the Britania bridge fire and its aftermath. There is a car park just down the road with a path which leads to the waters edge and great views of the bridges. A plus is the cafe in Waitrose, just across the road from the museum.

The main thing that I liked about my visit was that got to use the lavatories, on the left-hand end of the building. They were just what I needed. I usually take pictures for my reviews but, this time, I spared you.

This is a lovely place to visit. Is it antiques or plants/flowers shop? Not sure but it is well worth a visit. The building itself is worth a look round. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience especially the ghost

Excellent trip, Harry was brilliant and full of knowledge, we were staying in a house overlooking the water so Harry took us out so we could wave to the guests who stayed behind and done some circles around in the water.
The weather wasn't looking good for the day we had booked so we had a phone call asking if we wouldn't mind changing which we did - and so glad we did as it was brilliant, we didn't want the ride to end! We were the only ones on the boat so it felt like a private ride!
Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend.

Great banter - and always a nice idea for a birthday gift, a souvenir for friends or one of my favourite beers for the Saturday night!

This was a very well organised trip by a small company (two person team, Celine and Ady) based on Anglesey, so I could be sure the accommodation selected was the most suitable for walking the coast path available at the time of booking. Nothing is too much trouble for Celine and Ady who by daily communication on WhatsApp and being flexible with pick up and luggage transfer times, make sure your walking trip works best for you. If you have already done many self guided walking holidays with luggage transfer, as I have, you'll know this level of flexibility is invaluable allowing late or early starts to avoid bad weather, for example.
All in all I would highly recommend Anglesey Walking Holidays.
