This Museum IS PARTIALLY OPEN DURING RENOVATIONSMuseum focuses on the Civil Rights Movement in America through private collections, exhibitions, research and educational programs. While the Lorraine Motel exhibits are currently closed for renovation until first quarter 2014, the museum experience now includes the civil rights movement timeline, the Legacy exhibits in the boarding house, the Freedom's Sisters exhibit, and a special tour of the Lorraine Motel balcony where Dr. King last stood in 1968.
