"Champoeg is a huge park and there's a lot of things to see and do, not only in the park but close by the park! There are plenty of hiking trails and places to walk your dog. The pavilion is beautiful. The park is nestled by the river, which is pretty! There is also a place to play horse shoes and di..."sc/frisbee golf! The park rangers and the park hosts are very friendly.
We stayed in a yurt and the price was pretty cheap! We opted for the yurt, instead of a hotel, due to the fantastic price!
My only negatives would be that there was no bank or beach to access the river, only a boat dock (no boat launch either)
The other negative would be that the yurts were all together, kinda close together in a field type area.
Other than that it was a great place to visit and stay!

"Nothing short of an amazing experience! Booked a surprise trip for my parents who were in town for the week and couldn't have asked for a better adventure. The crew was great - all I's dotted and T's crossed which led to a seamless experience from beginning to end. Roger was a great pilot and the..." rest of the crew was great too - kind and courteous. You can always tell when people love what they do as it is evidenced in the 'work' that they do and everyone at Vista obviously loves what they do. Just when you think the day couldn't get any better after an amazing sunrise and balloon adventure, you are treated to a champagne brunch. I expected a quick store bought type meal but was blown away (again) when everything was homeade and parts of breakfast made on site for a good warm meal. Can't say enough good things about this company. Highly recommended!

"If you're an interested student of Oregon history, this is a place worth checking out as it is the site where the first provisional government in Oregon was formed. If you come in August, you can do a little blackberry picking as you explore this great park."
