We went on Veteran's Day, not realizing it was the last day Prospect Mountain was open for the season. The lovely lady at the booth said admittance was free for the last day. The drive up has 3 spots where you can pull over and take in the views and then you almost get to the top where there is a larger parking area. If you want to go up to the summit, you cannot park there. The views are incredible. We've been a couple of times before, but it wasn't so late in the season and a tram would take you to the summit. Highly recommend. We saw plenty of hikers on our way up.

Thank you, Gabriella, for you sweet and friendly attention to us during our wine tasting. You knowledge and enjoyment in sharing your love for wine with us made the experience so much richer. We delighted in the sampling and the snack options thoroughly and would recommend this easy and flavorful experience to anyone visiting the area <3

Fun way to spend a couple hours. Everywhere you go in the US (almost) there were forts/ battles. We jumped on the one hour tour. First half was done by a man in the role, explained who was fighting who and why. He was very good and interesting, both for adults and down to my 15 year old son. There were some younger kids on the tour, who seemed a bit confused, but kept it simple enough that most could understand. It was mostly talking, and in one spot. A few seats would have been great, it was really hot, and that part was inside the first part of the museum, there were only about 4 seats available. The second, and third part, second half hour, were on guns. They brought out an old flint lock, explained all about it, and then shot one blank shot. We all then went up to the upper level and got to learn about and see a cannon shot. Then we took a while to wander around and look over the rest of the fort and the static exhibits. It was not a "deep" tour, but really good for a few hours.

Great destination for hiking in the Lake George area. First, ascended to the summit. Challenging because some of the path was covered with rocks. Need to look around, but you get some great views of the lake. Hike took a couple of hours. After descending, we went to the falls. Trail is easy and short after getting by the rocky area at the trailhead. The falls was worth a photo.

This place is no longer Magic Forest, it is now Lake George Expedition Park. Price is no longer $19.99pp, it is now $39.99pp. That being said, it was still a fun day with my 10 year old grandson. The park is somewhat run down but clean. Most of the rides are kiddie rides but there are five or six adult rides. The dinosaur portion was done well with lifesize replicas. Be prepared for hills in this part of the park. There is one snack area with plenty of picnic tables and the food is at reasonable prices and service was good. The park is mostly shady so that is a nice feature on a hot day.

Million dollar beach was smaller than we expected, but it was well maintained and nice. We enjoyed sitting in the beach and dipping our toes into the lake because unfortunately the heat wave had snapped and it was a bit too chilly to swim for us. The facilities were clean and the parking lot was good. On a plus side when you pay for your day parking pass, you can use it all day. After we went to the beach we left to clean up and then returned to the lot to park to go o. The minnie ha ha

We went into the House of Frankenstein thinking it would be a museum and it is not - it is a haunted house. It was super scary - very very dark and our goal once we realized what we were in for was to get through as quickly as possible. About halfway through one of my teenage daughters said she could not go on any further because it was too scary but I was too scared to go back through with her! So, we toughed it out and continued the tour.

We were all hysterically laughing throughout and had a really fun time but next time we will do our research and know what to expect.

The lady at the counter was very knowledgeable and made great convo about the drinks. After tasting the drinks, she washed our shot glasses and let us bring them home! Great and inexpensive experience for drink lovers!

First let me say, be prepared for stone staircases, it can be tiring at times if you are older and maybe not in the best shape(not going to drop dead shape) but a little outta shape, but if you make it to the gazebo, you will love the view. If you go up further to the waterfalls, which were flowing be prepared for some climbing and area can seem alittle hard to find trail once in awhile, but its an all day event. Time said 20 minutes the whole day took us 4 hours. But we enjoyed it

We shopped til we dropped at the outlets. Our favorite store was the Lindt Chocolate store. We made sure to buy chocolate and a cafe mocha for me. Then, we shopped at Old Navy, Adidas, and Aerie. The best deals were at Adidas. I had to buy myself a pair of joggers. Very clean and more upscale than the outlet mall next door.

A beautiful park in the heart of town in Lake George. There are walking paths down to the lake. Plenty of places to sit and relax plus a large amphitheater! There are concerts in the park on summer evenings. We were lucky to be there for a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band. A large turn out but plenty of seating.

All stores had very limited stocks. Noting special about prices. Some stores were closed. It was a disappointment. Parking was a problem.

We visit this museum every time we are in Lake George. The owner shares his knowledge of his collection and how he aquired pieces. He loves to talk to guests, even the young ones, and instills his love of military hisotry in all who pass through.
