  "We booked four nights at the Idube Game Reserve on the advice of Amy at Talk Travel in Claremont, Cape Town. The lodge is in the Sabi Sands private game park, adjacent to Kruger National Park. We were met at reception where it was explained to us that this was an "open" camp - ie not protected by fences - and all game is allowed to wander into the grounds. The exception being that there is an electric wire at elephant height to stop elephants coming in and destroying the camp's trees. For this reason we were to be very watchful when moving around the camp and were always to be accompanied by one of the guards when out after dark. Our room, however, was outside the elephant wire so all animals were able to come right up to the room.
