What travellers are saying
- 2_traveling_kids_MomMichigan48 contributionsWow, what a gorgeous drive. Of all the different national scenic byways we have driven this was the easiest to find fun beautiful places to stop and explore. I would suggest stopping at the ranger station and getting the little map so you don’t miss the pullouts. We traveled on a rainy, early summer day so we didn’t get a chance to do any of the longer hikes. But the short ones we did do were wonderful. My teens and our dog loved getting out at various places and exploring the river. Definitely want to go back on a sunny day to get all the views we missed in the clouds.Written 3 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay DNuneaton, UK51 contributionsAn easy walk from the car park. More challenging walking if want to explore the various levels and walk on the stones to see the various falls at closer range. Very pretty. Definitely worth a visit (along with Cathedral Ledge) if in the area. It is only a short drive from the North Conway Scenic Railway.Written 21 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay DNuneaton, UK51 contributionsGreat views. Definitely worth the drive up there (and to Diana's Bath). Not particularly challenging to get to if you drive up. Not far from the North Conway Scenic Railway.Written 21 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kerrie C1 contributionThe views were amazing. We enjoyed the tubing park, first time going. It was fun for the family. I like how they had restaurant
and restrooms right next to tubing area.Written 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Hell some 60+ shops to shop and get damn near anything you want. Most have a "On-Sale" or"Bargain corner" so you can save even more money.
The layout is great and a nice way to get in some serious steps / exercise. And if that wasn't enough, there is a nice walking path across the street, that runs along the railroad track and a small pond.
I would say, if there is anything missing or short are restaurants, but no biggie because Conway in general has plenty of great places to eat, get a coffee and more.Written 1 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jcabucioLakeville, MA11 contributionsWe have been to Northern Extremes multiple times. Every time it is perfect from checking in to pulling in on our skis at the end of day.
The trails are always groomed, the skis are in perfect condition and the staff is awesome. There are other places we could go but why take the chance when you know you have a good thing! See you next season!!Written 5 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well maintains, and many trains in motion. Lots of detailed scenery.
Volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Everyone in our party from 2 to 60+ thoroughly enjoyed our 45 minute visit.
Hidden in the old freight house 100 steps from the North Conway train station. Ask them to show the way if you get lost.Written 9 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a nice park -- plenty of room, toys for the kids, and it's right in the middle of all the action (Conway Railroad, shops, restaurants, bars, etc.).Written 2 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - barbaraMaine1 contributionWe love going to North Conway. There’s so much to do: Climb the mountain (Washington) on the train, small hikes, taking the train to the mountains (it starts in the middle of the town), restaurants plentiful and
we always stay at Eastern Slope Inn, right in the middle of town.Written 8 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
