"The Old Capitol Museum is a beautiful building, and it's worth the time to check out, especially since it's free. There's a lot of information provided here, from the early history of the state of Mississippi, through the Civil War and into the present. The Senate and House chambers are set up to be..." similar to how they were when the capitol was in use. A few interactive exhibits enhance the visit. Cannot reiterate enough how beautiful of a building this is, so if in Jackson make sure to take an hour to visit this free site.

"A little hard to find; but worth it when you do. Not the best parking. The zoo itself is afordable and the way it is laid out makes it easy to see everything and they have a lot. The animals were displayed in a manor that we could see them. They were not hiding in their lairs. The tigers really..." put on a show.

"My family and I recently visited the museum and it was AMAZING!! As soon as my 5yr old walked in, his mouth dropped. My 1yr daughter was also able to enjoy some of the exhibits and activities. My husband and I had a great time also!
Just make sure you go through the correct entrance."
