"We took a 3 hr tour on the Skipjack H.M. Krentz on a beautiful morning. It was chilly but we dressed for it. The sail was a great experience with great winds. The area was beautiful to view from the skipjack. Captain Ed was an encyclopedia of information on fishing and the area history. He was a..." wonderful host with great stories to share. It's a really fun experience for anyone visiting the area.

"My family and I have taken this sail at least half a dozen times over the years, to the degree that Captain Ed recognizes my husband and older son when they go. This is the authentic Chesapeake, not the theme park version, and you will be sailing on a real working skipjack. Bring sunglasses, proper ..."foot ware, a cooler with drinks and snacks, and be prepared to pitch in and help out to get the full experience. (In the winter, Captain Ed earns his living by oystering)
Captain Ed is a fountain of knowledge, and he never says the same thing twice. He tries to tailor his stories and information to the party sailing. He does a great job of giving elementary-aged children hands-on learning opportunities while he talks to the adults, showing them oyster dredgers, crap traps, etc. Asking questions will make the experience more engaging.
I have brought my son on this sail since he was 3 years old, and he has always loved it.
