Events are held regularly at the Indian Center, including Powwows that attract American Indian dancers representing tribes from across the United States.The Indian Center invites visitors to stroll through its many areas that include: A museum with exhibits of traditional artifacts and contemporary art that depict the American Indian cultures of the past and present. Many of the exhibits have interactive aspects, and they change quarterly. Outdoor exhibits, which include a full-size tipi and grass houses that illustrate how Plains Indian families lived in the 1850s. Gift Shop selling American Indian-made items, music, movies and jewelry. Large indoor area, known as the Gallery of Nations, where special events and rentals take place. The Gallery of Nations can seat 350 people.The center not only houses local tribes, but those throughout the United States and Canada.
