Our focus is on displaying ecosystems as complex communities of organisms interacting in their environment. At the Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, visitors can explore six different Florida marine habitats and learn about the complexity and importance of marine ecosystems. The largest aquarium is a model of a Caribbean coral reef. Other displays include living models of seagrass, mangrove, estuarine and nearshore habitats, as well as a deepwater Oculina coral reef. There are several smaller aquarium displays and a touch tank where you can meet some of our local sea creatures. Feeding Frenzy tours daily at 10:30am and Snack Time tours daily at 2:30pm. Behind-the-Scenes tour Saturday at 2:00pm.

"On a rainy day, we decided to give this museum a chance. My DH grew up in the area and we thought it would be nice for our daughters to know more about early life in Florida. What a super find. This place is much larger than it looks on the outside and features a 1920 fire engine and an authentic..." home from 1907. It offers a real look at what life was like. Admission was inexpensive and it took a couple of hours. The docent were extremely knowledgeable and grew up in the area. We would go back.

"My DH is a native of Ft. Pierce and we love this beach. It's never over crowded and there is tons of parking spaces. The shower area is clean and there is great sand. There is plenty of shallow area for kids to boogie board and search for shells. While we have not picnicked at this location, the..."re are covered tables near the bathrooms. This is an easy beach to access, even for older folks. My mom had no problem getting out to the water and wants to go back for a third trip this week. It is close to the Navy UDT Museum, so this one spot can serve double duty for those on vacation who also want a little history lesson. This is not a tourist destination and this morning we had the entire beach to ourselves.

"My son, who is a veteran, has been raving about this place for months and I have always wanted to go. Fortunately, they offered a Groupon and I was able to get a good deal on the already low-priced tickets. This museum is fascinating and doesn't get the attention it deserves. It's thrilling to see a..."ctual boats that I had seen in news footage, like the one that was involved in the Somali pirate incident. I was also touched by the tribute to the war dogs, and loved the whole UBL compound.scale model
