Wild animals which have been found wounded or rescued from the black market by the local forest guards are brought here.Those that cannot be freed are used within our educational programs.In order to finance our shelter, we offer daily tours and volunteer activities. Easy access facilities and trails for all ages. Schedules: Monday to Saturday at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm.Sunday Closed. Previous reservation required.

GreenLagoon Arenal Nature Conservancy Park & Gardens is a private 3 Km long-Trails & Gardens leading to the Extinct Cerro Chato Volcano and its Crater's Green Lagoon. There is a $10 Fee charge at the GreenLagoon InfoCenter or at the GreenLagoon Lodge. Plenty of free parking at the lodge is available. The Trails also lead to the Wildlife and Reainfroest Preserve within the 400-Acre private property. Magnificent Views to Mountains, Arenal Volcano and the Valley of San Carlos. Once in the summit of Cerro Chato you may walk to the Arenal Volcano view point and the Lake Arenal view point for spetacular views and picture taking.

The horses are trained so you can enjoy your tour without worries. You can admire the impressive craters caused by ancient volcanic eruptions. As you travel through our pastures you will search for beautiful birds like orioles, toucans and other surprises. You will see beautiful organic gardens where you will be impressed by the size of our vegetables and different varieties as well. During the tour you will enjoy beautiful scenery of the volcano and the lake as you immerse yourself in the beautiful forest and hopefully will be surprised by some of the animals that inhabit this amazing place. All from the top of your partner on this two and one half hour tour. At the end we will take you to our beautiful veranda where you will learn the history that lies behind the impressive Arenal Volcano and its beautiful lake.
