Bukittinggi Attractions: What to do in Bukittinggi
"My wife and I spent 5 days in Padang and Bukittinggi in early May and Fikar and his team (Thommy especially!) really did and excellent job throughout. We did lots of jungle trekking, stayed in a basic but amazing jungle home-stay, ate excellent local foods, and saw some amazing countryside and histo..."ry. Fikar knows the area very well, is passionate about his hometown, and was able to plan any detours or last-minute changes without problem. If ever back in West Sumatra, we will certainly be giving Fikar a call. Highly recommended. His email is liteneasy@hotmail.co.id

"to be a starting point to visit other areas around West Sumatra, Bukittinggi is definitely best place to be choose. Surrounded with mountain around make this town have a cooler climate. This town still have it remnant of the Dutch. The closer attraction from Bukittinggi instead of it Clock tower the..."re are Koto Gadang Great Walk that quite new and also Ngarai (Canyon) Sihanok that really worth it to walk along even such a shame that the people awareness about rubbish is still lower but it was fun and for all tourist (especially the young/now generation from europe) you should not shock with how many rubbish just end up along the river around there as actually few decades ago it also happened exactly the same in your country.
Bukittinggi offer a nice place to stay and to eat, so many tasty and delicious foods just along the side of the streets or just visit Pasar Atas/Pasar Bawah which is have same meaning with Upper/Lower Market. Especially Minang people, they really know how to cook ...
