The largest tropical gardens in the South Pacific. Tour THE SUMMIT GARDENS & THE SUMMIT PLANTATION, visit The Essential Oils Distillery, Cafe and Health & Body Shop and more. THE SUMMIT GARDENS have been developed to provide maximum pleasure to the visitor. Opened to the public in November 2011, the 11 named gardens, spread over 10 hectares, are all distinctly different, unfolding as a series of surprises as you follow the meandering pathways and steps. At nearly 200m above sea level, the escarpment garden offers the visitor breathtaking views over Mele Bay. Within the gardens are THE ESSENTIAL OILS DISTILLERY - see how oils from sandalwood, Tahitian lime, mandarin, tangelo, ginger, etc, grown at The Summit are extracted and where our soaps, candles and other health and beauty products are made. Come to THE SUMMIT HEALTH & BODY SHOP for our products MADE IN VANUATU and to THE SUMMIT CAFE for refreshments or lunch and take in more of the wonderful views. ALLOW 2-3 hours for your stay - take a guided tour and lunch or refreshments, or wander around at your leisure for the whole day if you wish. An ADMISSION FEE applies to The Summit Gardens. Your Admission ticket is then valid for up to 14 days. Take The Summit Gardens and/or The Summit Plantation Tour including Port Vila hotel/resort transfers, OR take a taxi, bus, hire car or the Mele Bay Express bus. Do come visit - you won't be disappointed! NEW TOUR - THE SUMMIT PLANTATION TOUR, take a landrover around The Summit Sandalwood Plantations, tour fee applies. ATTENTION: CRUISE SHIP VISITORS - The Summit Gardens are not listed as a SHORE TOURS but you can pre-book through our website, alternatively take a taxi/bus or the Mele Bay Express bus to The Summit Gardens. From small beginings the blokart community now extends all over the world even to Vanuatu.The purpose built track takes advantage of the local trade winds and sea breezes.The Blokarts have been engineered to provide amazing performance.Quick off the mark, light and stable the karts allow for close exciting action like speedway or motocross. Sail sizes range from 3.0 meters to 5.5 meters. The larger sails are for light winds and the smaller sails for stronger winds.This enables customers to sail in a wide range of conditions from a mere 5 knots right up to a blistering 15 knots allowing you to feel the power of the wind! Anyone regardless of age or gender can enjoy the blokart experience. The youngest sailors aged nine and the oldest aged 70.The blokart team will have you sailing in minutes. The easy learning curve allows you to sail as fast as you want but safe there is no fitness level required. EDGE Vanuatu is a multi-award winning Adventure Tourism Company featuring the Cascades Abseil. Our clients are transferred to the beautiful Mele Cascades, after the briefing and gear fitting you are taken on a walk to our Practice Cliff, first stopping out our Lookout. We have an 8m Practice Cliff where we teach you the basics of abseiling beside a lovely rock pool. Then it's 50 m down the waterfall in two 25 m pitches, the first passing a cave and on the second you cross underneath the waterfall before landing in the pool at the bottom and being guided back through the spectacular Mele Cascades for refreshments and a chance to view the photos from your tour.
