Lovely historic house set in country park, with a delightful church that served te estate, with wall and roof painting, carvings, staturary and tombs, great gargoyles, etc. Also it's something to do in Swindon that isn't about shopping or trains. The house is a little gem. There is also a walled garden.

"Just seen Save The Last Dance at The Wyvern. I can never understand why the people of Swindon and North Wilts don't go to The Wyvern Theatre, as I am sure that this show will and deservedly so, sell out at most other venues. I would estimate that the theatre was a little over half-full for this Satu..."rday Matinee performance and I would hope that the Evening show (final night) would be a sell out, after all although the Wyvern does not have the largest capacity, it is certainly a lot more comfortable than most other venues, with better legroom and unrestricted views. The show itself is yet another Bill Kenwright nostalgic masterpiece, with a very talented and energetic company who give it their all performing the compositions of Pomus & Shuman. Please try to catch this show at a theatre near you, it is well worthwhile.

"Watched a couple of shows with the wife this spring and can we really enjoyed the experience :-) On the smaller side but, adequate for good night out. "
"My and my family come here most weekends. Having visited Bicester Village recently I much prefer the Outlet Village as I can actually afford to buy things at Swindon Outlet! Yes Bicester is very nicely presented but you're stuffed if it's raining and personally don't have hundreds of pounds to spen..."d on design handbags and clothes. Somebody mentioned that unless you spend £100 it's not worth it because of the parking cost, but I think to park for £1 for 5 hours is very good!
I find that there is a good range of affordable shops in Swindon, Gap, Next, Crewe clothing, Superdry plus a good choice of places to eat and drink. There is also a play park for the kids which is necessary when taking kids round to do shopping! My kids also love the little cars they can ride around the shops in.
Let's face it Swindon's town centre is not a great shopping experience which is why we choose to go to the Outlet instead. We are relocating abroad in August and this is something we will definitel...
