Closer to Wildlife! Stroll around the Park discovering over 260 different animal species in 160 acres of beautiful parkland and stunning gardens. Get eye-to-eye with Giraffe, walk with Lemurs in our Madagascar exhibit and watch Zebras and Rhinos graze in front of the Gothic listed Manor House, with only a ha-ha in between you. Take a ride on Bella the Train around the Park or let the kids explore the adventure playground. Have lunch in our restaurant or picnic on our spacious lawns. Pet the goats in the Farmyard or watch the Penguins being fed (daily at 11am & 3pm). If your're brave take a peek in our Reptile house with Crocodiles, venomous snakes and lizards or watch the bats flying around in the Bat house or see the creepy crawlies in the Insect House. Stroll around our Walled Garden with Meerkats, Otters, Prairie Dogs, Penguins and Tropical House with free-roaming Sloths, bats and birds. Along with beautiful exotic plants, cactus beds (in the warmer months) and spectacular bedding, all of which make a beautiful backdrop to the animals.

"I was really impressed with this place. It's got a really good set up to see all the animals, as everything is well spaced out, and there's plenty of grass or benches for a picnic.
We found a few downsides, such as going on a hot bank holiday Monday meant that the roads were jammed up for several m..."iles around the park, and there was a long queue to get parked even once you're through the gates. But having said that, they did have staff going from car to car taking payments, so they did what they could.
Also, I'd say the price was at the top end of what I'd pay. I thought it was a little expensive when we got there, but I enjoyed the place enough to not mind by the time we left. Watch out for the queues for ice ceam though!
It's definitely worth a visit, as they have some really fantastic animals.

"Visited as a family of 6, Kids loved seeing the animals infact we didnt have enough time to enjoy all of it! Had a lovely picnic out front and it has a nice park inside. We sadly visited on one of the busiest days this year so far, with a disabled son we asked to be placed in the appropriate parking..." area to be rudely told we could not as it was full and there was no alternative and that we would have to park right at the top. After struggling with my son we suddenly notice they opened up parking area right next to the disabled bays, within 10-15 minutes of us being informed we couldn't be offered alternative appropriate parking near the entrance. Sadly ruined our day as our son was left to struggle! Was a lovely place for a family day out, some staff members just need to be more diasability aware!

"Lovely place. Big park, big animals, big play and well designed.
What more could you ask for? Lions, giraffes, rhino. Large play areas and lovely walks through a variety of animals species from various continents. The flower displays (tulips, forget me nots etc) at the moment are stunning. On to..."p of that, the allium are about to flower! Wow! And we went there to see the animals! The park has a lovely design meaning you can meander a number of ways around whilst always being able to cover all creatures. The central house is a beautiful building and taking photos of rhinos / zebra with the old house in the background makes for beautiful composition. The giraffe enclosure is excellent. Their is a walkway built up to giraffe head height. You really get within a foot of them when they are eating. Amazing. Food was fresh, some home baked cakes etc and ok priced. Kids play area is great. The big tree house slide was our daughters favourite...
Very impressed and recommended...
