A major restoration project is now underway, with stone masons working on the castle to rebuild parapet walls, turrets and towers. In the gardens history is being used to guide and inspire and new layer to fit over the late 17th Century layout that remains largely intact. Opening hours 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Sunday; adults £5, children free, well behaved dogs very welcome. Catering and vistor facilities available. « less
