What travellers are saying
- Ashlyne NNorth Bay, Canada278 contributionsAbsolutely stuffing place! There was only one other car in the someone lots and we pretty much had the place to ourselves which I hear is a rarity here. We did the hike around the lake and the views were stunning.
I’d definitely suggest coming here in the winter when you can take advantage of the small crowds!Written 1 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Easy to find, but note a low kph/mph road leads to the falls so no hurry. I am sure that the parking lot fills in the summer, but you can park along the road and take an alternate path to the falls. That path is just short of the parking lot. Two of the iconic red chairs are (were?) there during our visit.Written 29 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margaret W KKula5 contributionsI went here in 2019-pre covid times to “warm up “before a great Northern Cat ski trip. i guess Revelstoke used to be a cat ski place before lifts were added. Not a huge resort back then but I enjoyed the skiing. I don’t know if it’s family friendly yet. I stayed at a cute bed and breakfast near the hill-Wish i could remember the name because I enjoyed it . I was there for 3 days before going to catski locationWritten 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scott WBothell, WA43 contributionsGorgeous lakes and waterfalls. A couple was getting married at a spectacular resort when we visited a week agoWritten 27 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 3donkeysCalgary, Canada16 contributionsComing from Calgary, for us it's being in this forest that is magical. The trees, the vegetation, its spectacular! The little houses are adorable, the kids love all the characters and ode to nursery rhymes. My 13 yr old said this place is the worst but I watched him constantly run ahead to check out the next thing! The short nature hike is a must do,
gorgeous.
I will always stop in here if I'm driving thru, it's become nostalgic and I always enjoy it.Written 27 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Connector518176Innisfail, Canada1 contributionThis has always been my highlight. Drove from saskatchewan 2022 heartbroken it was closed. I hope there is an effort to reopen 2023 .its magicalWritten 14 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mervyn SToronto, Canada64 contributionsWas a nice hike to Eva Lake and Miller Lake, there were also some flowers in the meadows blooming. Very few hikers including us made the effort to include Jade Lake in this hike, this short branch would have doubled the elevation gain for this hike and there were very few AllTrails reviews for Jade Lake.Written 3 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helen MScotland, UK3 contributionsI’m not a train enthusiast, but I absolutely loved this museum. To learn about the traditions of the making of a railway was fascinating. To read about the men and their trial and tribulations was astonishing.
How did they do it was my question for hours.
I was in absolute awe standing next to the most magnificent train engine I’ve ever seen. The brass gauges in the engine room takes you back to a bygone era. It would have been wonderful to these these engines in their full glory traveling across
Canada.
At the back of the museum their is a host of model trains that their owners are all to happy to answer any questions.
The museum is very well laid out and easy to access. We spent two hours here.
Be warned it neighbours an active train line so you may have to wait for a very long train to pass.Written 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you happen to be along the road, and 83 is one of the few roads, it is an easy and pretty sight. The walk to the end of the trail, about 1.5 miles, is mostly up, but other than the initial 100 it is mostly gentle and there are many benches, rocks and trees to rest on. You are in view of the river all the way with several bridges crossing to get an even better view. A bonus - a set of the famous red Adirondack chairs was along the trail when we went (may be moved by now).Written 13 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WashingtonianNativeFairfax, VA201 contributionsThis is a quick stop, not far from Emerald Lake and Takakkaw Falls. I would check it out but at the same time, if you run out of time to see it, there are plenty of other places even more spectacular in this area just overflowing with beauty.Written 27 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - weezyslifeSorrento, Canada105 contributionsIt was a great experience from the time we showed up to the time we left. We were guided through the process of axe throwing and shaking it up with a friendly competition between friends. Our guide was very attentive and rooting right along with us. Thank you for this unique experience while we visited Revelstoke!Written 8 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
