This is more of a museum with exhibits and history amongst the factory equipment. At the end there is the opportunity to take different sugars which was really nice and some rum. There was no air con and the visit was very hot and humid.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the sugar museum. Exhibits were informative and detailed the history of sugar alongside the history of the island republic. Beautiful grounds too.

Very interesting and knowing many information about sugar cane at Mauritius. There is a cafe with great food and service. The sourvinors shop have many special gift that only available at this area.

GOOD: · It’s a nice museum in an old mill with the old mill(not working). Everything in english/french. No guide necessary. If you read only the important things, then the tour takes 1-2 hours. · The fee is 350,- pp. 9am – 5pm. BAD: · nothing
