Newgrange is something different from anything you've seen before; 5500 years and still standing, still servicing, built by people we know nothing about. More

An absolutely amazing site. You MUST go to the Brú na Boinne visitors centre near Donore first and park. Inside this visitors centre, you pay your admission fee. You then travel by minibus to the sites. This is the only way to access them. You can visit the other sites as well, but I only visited Newgrange itself at a... More

We used our GPS to find Newgrange and unfortunately we were routed to the historic site not the visitor center. You CANNOT buy admission tickets for the historic site unless you go to the visitor center. It sounds like a minor problem, but the visitor center is on the opposite side of the river so you have to go several... More

I've been there a couple of times now and I'm still impressed every time I visit it. I've seen it in rainy and sunny days, both are as impressive. More

My groups have always felt rushed at Newgrange. This year it seemed even worse. I understand and respect that thousands of people want to experience Newgrange, but it is doing a dis-service to rush people. I was also disappointed by the closure of the fine gift shop. The staff seemed unhappy and some were downright rude. I hope things improve... More

This ancient archeological site is amazing and well worth a visit. It's well organized with comfortable buses making tfrequent trips between the two sites. Newgrange is a passage tomb constructed 5000 years ago and was at the heart of an advanced Bronze Age civilization in the Boyne valley. Very worth while. More

Visiting the ensemble at Brú Na Bóinne is very interesting, especially if you're keen into history. The guides are very knowledgeable and passionate about their work, so you're bound to learn a lot about the ancient Neolithic people and how the mounds at Brú Na Bóinne have been used over the past few centuries. The highlight of the visit is... More

Immensly interesting insight into the ancient mystical worship of the seasons, nature, sun and stars. Well organised but can be very busy at times. More
