Monteiro Lobato is a very important writer in Brazil. But, unfortunately, the city of Taubaté do not preserve his home, wich is the museum, and they do not make anything interesting for children to keep in mind his books and stories. It is a pitty. Do not waste your time and money.

The museum is a little house with a little library, stuff about Carnival and the autor's life and a backyard. It's inside a kind of a park where there're statues of his characters. Free entrance and, besides, visitors can catch mangos from the trees. Far from the main bus station, but I did it on foot. I didn't watch any...

The museum is very bad conserved. The only thing there is the play about Sitio. Nothing else to do or see.
What a pitty... this place should be so much explored...
