This is a restaurant/bar - indeed a delightful one - known as "Tamambo", owned by the Tamarind Group, who also own Nairobi's best restaurant, "Carnivoire'. When we arrived it was interesting to see that the house and grounds are just like you see in the movie, Out of Africa, but nothing else really intrigued me. There were 2 weddings going on in the front and back lawns while we were there so it messed up any photo ops I would have had. I found it... More

the tour of the house was part of an all day excursion but found the tour of the house very interesting - the free guided tour is well worth the effort. Afterwards we had a nice lunch at the Coffee garden. More
