All the churches in Ouro Preto and Tradents are worth a visit for you will hardly ever see so much gold and so much of Baroque architecture.Fantastic! Just check the opening times because they are never open all day long.

The church was built by African slaves brought to our country. Though not a religious person myself, I was moved by the history of the church (slaves building it at night, when they could), and also loved to see black saint icons. A small church with such a background moves me more than a big one full of gold...
