We spent 3 amazing days on the divecal boat on Apo reef back in February this year! 2 months ago and memories are still so good :) Great meals, great time with other divers and with Martha (she is the super divemaster and adventure guide who made the trip even more special and rich). Dives were good (many sharks turtles... More

We went on a safari to Apo Reef with Divecal in April 2012. The trip was amazing and well-organised from start to finish. -Apo Reef sells itself with its sharks, turtles and abundant coral gardens. Just gorgeous. -The staff on the Divecal boat is very helpful and experienced. You will not have to worry about anything that has to do... More

We joined Dive Cal's Apo Reef Trip in mid-April and had a positive experience all around, starting with my initial contact with John several months ago when we were looking for a way to dive Apo Reef. At that time, Dive Cal had no live aboard trips planned, but John said he'd let me know if one was scheduled during... More

I did the 4 night / 3 days safari last april and it was really one of my best diving experience. This Atoll is really like a big and beautifull aquarium perfect to watch thousand and thousand of tropical fish, shark, turtle, tuna, morena, barracuda... On top of that the Dive Call Crew was awesome. Very helpfull and friendly, specially... More

I had a really fantastic time diving Apo with this dive shop and am bothering to write this as I want to counter what the last two reviews have stated as I think they're an unfair portrayal. DiveCal give you the opportunity to dive a reef for an absolute steal, ordinarily you'd be paying at least a thousand bucks for... More

i did the 4 nights liveaboard to apo reef wuth divecal. From my experience, this operatiin is probably on the cheap end and that is exactly what you get. ... A very tired boat in appaling condition with ants in the beds, no proper bathrooms ... Never enough food. The food served is very basic and even slices of fruit... More

Regards the radio it is off the boat as it has been sent to Manila for repairs. Regards everything else look at the previous & future reviews Make up your minds based on what you find. First aid box should have been on the boat. Our Instructor Martha also carries her own comprehensive first aid box. More

Hi there, want to share my experiences with you, because the overall rating of Divecal was very surprising to me, when I checked it after the Apo Reef trip I have joined April 1st, 2012. Well, the good things first: The divemaster Martha is a good guide, helpful, nice person, tries to get in contact with every person....diving with her... More

I came across dive cal when looking for activities to do in Palawan, and more interested in reef then wreck diving, really wanted to do the dive safari to Apo Reef. I wrote to Jon, and he promptly wrote back that although there were no trips scheduled, he would try to organise one around our specific dates. Up until the... More

I had a really good time with Dive Cal on their Apo Reef safari. I guess there are only two things that most people want to know about: the diving and the organisation. - Apo Reef is pristine reef diving and is a brilliant contrast to the (also excellent) wrecks in Coron Bay. I've dived in the waters of 11... More

Many thanks for the review. Your comments have been noted & will be addressed. In future we will do all equipment fitting the day before the trip. Regarding the low fill tank:- The tank was checked & found not to be full. This was while still in Coron which is 6 to 7 hours from Apo reef. There were 40... More

Thank you very much for the nice review. You have managed to add a bit more information about the trips. Especially useful is the mention about the equipment. It is always a pleasure to do these trips as we always have the divers talking about it for days after. Am sure they will remember us & Apo reef for many... More
