Maquinit is a simple but excellent place to relax after a long day's activities. There are 3 pools, two with the source and one larger one that is slightly cooler (40 degrees C!) wear slippers or aqua shoes when here and make sure you don't stay in too long without occasional sitting up to cool your body down. You can... More

I give this 5 stars for its sheer uniqueness! This is the only saltwater hot spring I've ever been to, and it is a MUST after long days of swimming and eating! The hot water, and the natural "jet streams" from the little waterfalls, is so relaxing. I imagine it would be nice to get a massage while sitting in... More

we hire a tricycle to transport and wait for us to the mountain about P350. 15minutes traveling time on a semi-rough road. there is an entrance fee of P150/head. the spring is the only salt water type in asia since it sits beside a sea. they have made a man-made pool where hot water is flowing into it. it is... After our island tour of Coron, our boatman brought us to this Hot Spring. The water smells like rotten eggs maybe because of the sulphur in the water but it was relaxing specially if you had a long walk and trek up the mountains. It is advisable that you come here early in the morning or after sundown since the... More

Definitely a must after Mt Tapyas or after Island hopping. In my case, my right leg was injured one year ago from dancing. And in hindsight, the Mt Tapyas hike was probably not a good idea. Nevertheless, a dip in the HOT waters of Maquinit proved to be just what I needed. One limb at a time, folks. Then you... More

The agenda in this "cool" place comes after the trek of Mt. Tapyas' Cross, rightfully so as it's a welcome respite after the steep trek to soothe your tired & aching muscles (in case you didn't do some stretching). You can reach the place by tricycle - in case you got a package tour, the tricycle that fetched you from... More

Though the trip going to Maquinit Hot Spring takes a little time from the Poblacion, around 20 minutes, this adds to the rustic expectations of the location. Passing through rural settlements of the inhabitants of Coron, particularly coastal areas, the ambiance is quite an extreme opposite of city environment, and I like it. Towards the final approach to the site,... More

this is a good destination after going to Mt. Tapyas as the hot spring truly relaxes your legs and feet after the long climb. Though, I was disappointed in the lack of facilities such as changing areas and clean comfort rooms. The comfort rooms were dirty and didn't have hangers so you can hang your clothes while you change. The... More

We went to Maquinit Hot Springs one of the 3 sea water hot springs in the world! But what a surprise to find - no changing rooms. We had to use the CR dirty and small to change, - not a well maintained place ( the staff prefer to play cards or chess ). Lots of leaves, algaes, woods. -... More

Reaching here - Takes time, as this place is at least 25 minutes by trike from Coron city proper. And many parts of the road are just stone and rubble paths! Entrance fee - Yes, there is an entrance fee that you must pay before entering Facilites - Are limited. There are CRs, which are also used by people as... More
