Situated in Camiguin, Southern Philippines, this s-shaped island is truly a wonder of nature. Why nothing ever grows there – nary a plant nor a tree – is a question even the locals ask. Sand and sun though are a given and there to be enjoyed for a few hours each day.

Appears in the morning, disappears at night. Amazing how high tide and low tide works. Paid 500 for a group of 4 which included the fees and the boat to bring us back and forth.

Boat ride is high. Outriggers must have porta toilets for convenience and sanitation.

I have been in White island 3 times before but now i was really lucky because it has high tide and white sand under the water was coloured so beautiful. Few small bars offers drinks but make sure your sun tan lotion is strong enough protect the skin under extremelly strong sun.

We stayed in Paras Beach Resort and white island is just a few meters away from the resort. Our package in Paras includes a free boat ride to white island. From afar, you will be able to view the island. When we got there it was not that sunny, so it was okay since there are no tents or cottages...

It's great, it's picturesque, and it will get everyone jealous. But be aware that there's nowhere to hide on this sandbank of an island. We stopped by between dives and it was good to hang out for a short while, but the wind was strong and the sun bright. So go, but take care! ;)

This sandbar is truly the jewel of Camiguin Island. It can rival any white sand beach of the country.
When we went there, it is shaped like a C. The inner portion has no current which is perfect for swimming and relaxing. The outer portion on the other hand has a very strong current. The usual wave current is westward....
