I have to limit my visits to Salts Mill or I'd be bankrupt! So many wonderful books to look at in this amazing building, and art to see. A whole floor of amazing books of all types, as well as a floor of art materials and books. Artworks by David Hockney are a distraction from all the nice things to... More

The David Hockney paintings were very interesting, you could buy anything there that you needed to paint or draw, and on the other floors were the most amazing kitchen and homes buys, food in the cafe good value and enjoyable. More

We visited the salt mills to see the Hockney exhibition. Also a great restaurant inside full of Hockney's work. There is no entrance fee. The place is marvelous. More

If you like David Hockney this is THE place to visit. I frequently go to Salts Mill just for a general mooch around and lunch at the excellent cafe/restaurant. The Hockney's are wonderful, especially the exhibition on at the moment which compliments the RA exhibition. In fact I think I prefered the peaceful Salts Mill experience to the pushing and... More

Although, sadly, Jonathan Silver died several years ago, his family are building on his success and the mill is as vibrant as ever. Visit the Hockney Gallery, Salts Diner and other eateries in the mill, and purchase unusual gifts in the various shops. A wonderful place to stay all day, drinking in the atmosphere and lovely smell of lilies. More
