Juno Beach Centre is a really interesting place to stop, if only for the beauty of the beach, even more for the incredible story of the canadians who landed there during WWII. I really recommend paying the extra bucks for the guided tour of the beach, which includes a visit of one of the bunker. All the tour guides are... More

The museum is run as not-for-profit organisation to provide an insight into the great contribution Canada made to defeating Hitler's fascist power. A mere 10euro buys you a ticket to a guided walking tour of the beach area and a self-guided tour of the museum. Our guide Matt, from Calgary, was great. He explained the beach defences and took us... More

Visit here as a tourist and holiday maker, and feel it that those who died on these beaches, or who were badly wounded, did so in order that we can enjoy our freedom. Remember them with pride. More

For Canadians this is a must especially for families of WW II veterans. It is such a beautiful museum that starts with a 5 minute video in a room that is shaped like one of the boats that troops came to land on. There is history lessons of what went on in the world that led up to this war.... More

Though I've been here half a dozen times with my student groups, I've never really gone through the inside of the small museum. However, a tour of the beach with one of the young Canadian guides from the centre can be a moving experience. More

Juno Beach is an excellent museum aimed at people understanding and valuing Canada and its contribution to WWII. It's located on Juno Beach which was one of the 5 landing beaches on D-Day. Canadian soldiers were focused on Juno. The museum looks at Canada pre-war including it's economic problems and it's geography. The main feature is, of course, the Normandy... More

We took my 87 year old dad (&mom) to visit the Juno centre and to return to the beach where he landed as a Canadian soldier. The guide was very young but very informed and very patriotic. My dad was pleased with the sensitivity and accuracy of her talk and the information presented in the museum. After the tour, the... More
