Located in the state of Bahia, the coast of Itacaré is a perfect setting for adventure sports like surfing, biking, rafting, kayaking and paragliding. Get your guide or surf instructor to take you down to Jeribucacu, which is off the beaten track and takes a drive and then a 20 minute walk through the rainforest to get to, but it's well worth it. Praia da Tiririca is second best, with its perfect surf conditions and beach surrounded by rainforest.

my fave beaches in Brazil thus far! `1st beach` is my preference but there are so many in the area, you could spend countless days going to different ones! Great for surfing too!

I travelled to Itacaré, in Bahía, the north of Brasil for 4 nights in February 2006. I stayed in a very nice Pousada called SAGE POINT.
