This is the "union of great architecture by Portuguese people in Macau". You can find amazing buildings with European style at every corner. Don't forget to take pictures here. Good time to visit is on late afternoon, or nearby sunset time. Also, don't forget to try the sweet Portuguese eggtarts sold by many shops around here: they are remarkable snacks... More

Went there after dinner for a stroll. Lots of peoples, lots of foods, lots of stores. We went there in winter, so it's quite cold....but definitely must go when in Macau...preferably during the day...I will go again next time.

A must see in Macau - architecture is amazing and the square is always very busy with some street entertainment. I felt like I was wandering around in some portuguese square. Good to walk around adjacent small streets for a feeling of what is Europe mixed with an asian flair

I never missed this place on all my trips to Macau. This is the area where you can find European architectures, mosaic Portuguese pavements, historic buildings, ancient churches, Chinese temples, walled city, restaurants, coffee shops, clothes stores, pharmacy, food, cookie and pasty shops, beauty shops, souvenir stores, etc. For me this is where I spend time roaming around to shop.... As Macau complicate roads (at least for me who confused for its small roads everywhere), it's a good place to wander around to see the buildings, to shops and to rest and have some egg tarts. Anyway, it's crowd, so maybe it's not a good place to chill out. Government wifi here didn't work for me for its too slow... More

This was the first place I wanted to visit in Macau but was disappointed to the core. I like European architecture but this place, according to me has been commercialised. It does not retain it touch of being a square. All high end shops have mushroomed leaving barely any space to walk. The floor design is very unique. I was... More

It was one of my favorite places during my visit to Macau, walking through the streets crowded it is tremendously the impression of being in a small town in southern Europe, the style of the buildings, the colours of the houses and numerous churches, all no doubt recall the historical past of this former Portuguese colony. All very nice and... More

Visited on a Sunday and the place is bustling with locals and tourists. Other than enjoying the beautiful architechture, we did some shopping and souvenir-buying as well. Food in this vicinity is mostly of Chinese cuisine. The square leads to other attractions such as St Pauls ruins. Public restroom is unexpectedly clean. Located just a bit further than the Post... You get a taste of Europe right here in Macau. Largo do Senado is a good starting point for a heritage walk in the lanes that reach the ruins of St. Paul's. The shops, the building architecture, the wavy patterns on the street remind of Europe. You can stop by to try the famous egg tarts and they don't disappoint... More
