You can easily walk to the Corfu Museum from the center of downtown. it is fairly small, but has some very interesting exhibits. it is worth a stop if you are close-by.

We found this quite by accident but it was a terrific place to spend a rainy day. The exhibits are in modern cases and are well displayed.

it is very good, but artefacts are not of the standard of the British Museum or the Acropolis Museum for example

Our 11-year-old was as enthralled by the Gorgon Medusa and the story of Perseus as we were! Some amazing artifacts including funeral urns, the Lion of Menekrates and much more. It's not huge and costs very little to get in... in our opinion an hour well spent.

We took a taxi from the cruise ship because we were not sure of where it was located.The museum is only open on Tues-Sat. 8:45-3 pm and Sun 9:30-2:30.
