We were not sure whether to visit Phong Nha national park. We ended up going to the Phong Nha cave and Paradise cave. This was probably one of the best choices we made. It surprised us that so few people go to this part of the country. These caves are unlike anything we have seen. Impressive and very beautiful! Even... More

River at the start of the trip has floating garbage but as we got closer to the caves also saw many empty soft drink cans floating down. Not a good example for a world heritage site. Enjoyed the boat trip into the caves and would recommend it to others. Hire motorbikes from Nam Long Hotel and ride out to the... More

The size of the caves and their formations are truly stunning. The horrendous flourescent lighting, crowds and cigarette smoke however are not so much. It's a real shame to see something as impressive as this being laid to waste which it truly is. If you have plenty of time in the area then visit these caves first, Paradise is by... More

Phong Nha and Paradise Caves are quite amazing. The former you can sit in a boat for about 500m or so, which is a serene and great experience. Paradise cave system is truly amazing and quite unlike anything else I have seen. Nothing really prepares you for the endless displays of stalactites and stalagmites. More

I loved the size of the caves, they are immense. On the down side, there are not many stalagmites and stalagtites. More

These 2 caves are a must see in Vietnam, Both are very different but you will not be disappointed making the effort to get there for the caves. You will need a couple of days in the region to appreciate the scenery and see both caves. More

Went to the Paradise caves. It is a 2km walk from the car park to the beginning of the steps to get you there. You can go by electric golf cart if you wish ( fees apply ) . You then have 576 steps to the entrance of the caves and within the caves itself a further 336 steps. It... More

This is a definite MUST DO on your visit to Vietnam. I thought these caves were even more stunning than the one at Halong Bay. Enjoy a wonderful boat ride down the river to reach this cave. A trip you will not regret! More
