To participate you must be under 100kgs and over the age of 10 years (this can be negotiated based on previous experience). Bookings through Glentanner Park Centre. Rode with staff at glentanner on a 3 hour ride Found staff friendly And horses even friendlier Great for a experienced rider looking for more than a plod around the paddock Climbing up farm tracks through morning mist to high lakes and spectacular views up and down the valley More

The Glentanner Horse Trekking was perfect for my family with two children. It was a very exciting and fun-filled trek with amazing scenery that was much different to that in our Christchurch city life. It was a perfect way for the family to escape and experience something new. The horses were beautiful, well behaved and our guide was very friendly.... More

I have to say I totally disagree with the other review here! We had the most wonderful time trekking with Glentanner Horse treks. This was real McCoy New Zealand. I have been around horses my whole life and they were lovely kind, healthy horses, and very well behaved. Perhaps the person above has only ridden horses at a city stables?... More
