Mercury Bay and Whitianga are hidden gems from an overseas perspective. New Zealanders know the place very well and it is packed out in Summer. Out of season it is like being taken back to 1950's America. A small friendly town built on a grid pattern with little traffic and a sleepy atmosphere. The facilities are far form that image... More

Very safe for swimming never too crowded vast choice of beaches and great seafood including mussels,scallops,crayfish along with Big Game fishing More

Everything a fisherman could ask for year round!, from Kingfish year round to Marlin in the summer, the odd Yellow Fin Tuna, jigging, casting & popping, Landbased, boating, launches, baches to hire, really nice towns, good coffee + more More

Friendly and informative skipper of the boat took passengers on boat tour of shore and islands, and to a suitable snorkeling/viewing area in marine reserve where kelp beds and fish were abundant. Two hours of pleasure. More
