This museum is unique in so many respects. you arrive on the outskirts of a nature reserve, buy your tickets and pick up one of the complimentary bikes (or go with the bus if you do not feel like biking). You then set of on a trip for as long as you want to. the museum is a short bike... More

The park is absolutely wonderful. But we were disappointed because there were less than half of the van Gogh paintings than we were told (by phone in March). Also the placing of the van Gogh paintings was poor - some scattered in ones and twos within modern painters' work. More

No where I have ever heard of. We went to this museum as part of a Tauck tour and we just did the bus ride in which was fine but they have free bicycles that you can pick up at the gate and ride in and out or drive to the museum and pick up a bike there and ride... More

During our family reunion, this museum was part of the itinerary. I was happy i chose the museum than the other interesting sites inside the National Park of the De Hoge Veluwe. After our biking from the Schaarsbergen entrance, we went directly to the various sight seeing places of the park. Choices; the museum or the Sint Huberttus but have... More

Never visited this museum before, and was pleasantly surprised by the varied exhibits: van Goghs, Matisses, Picasso, Kranach, but also a large collection of modern art. Don't miss the statue garden. Since the museum is located in the middle of the National Park of the Hoge Veluwe which is a separate entity visitors pay for the entrance to the Park... More

Simply put, this is one of the best museums in The Netherlands and even Europe. There is a huge sculpture garden listed as the largest in Europe spread out over many acres of beautiful grounds. It contains 160 pieces, and it would probably take you at least half a day to locate and see each of them. Most are by... More

We had never heard of the museum before our tour took us there; then we were just sorry we couldn't spend a whole day. The painting and sculpture collection in the museum building are impressive, most the choices of quite a partnership--a rich woman and her art advisor. But we loved the outdoor sculpture museum equally. The acreage is so... More

This is a review of the Kroeller-Mueller Museum indoor museum and the sculpture garden. The Van Gogh's were spectacular and the Picasso's and Seurat's were delightful but I have never found Mondrian and his ilk interesting and seeing them close up reinforced my feelings and left me feeling angry that their art of so little merit apart from their novelty... I find the architecture and presentation of a museum as important as the collection they offer. This museum does that both in an extraordinary way. Located in "Park, De Hoge Veluwe," - a national park (that will have charge its own entree fee), just 15 minutes away of historic WW II battle grounds, this museum is an art oasis. Make... More
