The museum provided an excellent overview of the fighting in and around Holland during the Market-Garden campaign. In addition, there were sections of the museum dedicated to life during the occupation. Numerous uniforms, weapons, equipment and vehicles were displayed throughout the museum and its grounds. I really enjoyed this museum. Very informative and well put together. It made for a nice day trip from Amsterdam. I would have liked to make it to the Canadian War Cemetery but spent too much time here at the museum and it was getting dark. Next time! More

My brother and I (Canadians, one living in the UK) visited the museum after walking to the Canadian War Cemetery. It was a very informational experience and did a good job of allowing you to put visuals to what life was like in that period of time. Great presentation, sad period in the life of the Dutch. More

This museum is situated just north of the town - lots of parking and easy to spot due to a large odd looking extension to the main building. Outside the building, on the grass, is a German anti tank gun and a Sherman Tank. Reception were very helpfull - explaining that the museum is divided into various themed areas each... More
