I last visited this museum several years ago. It tells the story of the American Army landings at Utah very well. They have upgraded the displays & presentation films and now extended the interior to include the landing craft display (previously outside the front entrance) and a bomber, housed in a viewing hall. All the equipment & vehicles are very... More

Another interesting D-Day museum with some original equipment from the war, both in and outside the museum itself. It's adjacent to the actual beach, which now just looks like a beach from Long Island Sound somewhere with it's flat, sandy beach, and sand dunes. The location of Utah beach is quite a distance west of Omaha Beach so this one... More

We stopped here first on a 3 day tour of the D Day beaches & museums and were very impressed. It's very new and well laid out with some great exhibits particularly the vehicles and the bomber. Being able to look out of the large glass windows at Utah beach through some of the old defences just added to the... More

Great museum filled with a lot of war memorabilia and fascinating facts. It also includes an impressive display of restored vehicles, including the war bomber "Dinah Might". The entry fee for us (a family of three) cost 18 euros but the experience was worth every penny. Make sure to allocate at least 2 to 3 hours to explore the entire... More

We visited 6 museums in 2 days throughout Normandy. This was the best! Large windows looking over Utah Beach while you look at the WWII displays (brings a sense of realism to the displays), C-47 on display inside, unique artifacts not seen at other museums, and one of the best movies (20 mins) depicting the D-Day events. A "Do not... More

After visiting the Caen Memorial, we visited the Utah Beach D-Day museum. We are very glad we made the effort to get there. Along the route, we also visited St. Mere Eglise, the Major Dick Winters sculpture, St. Marie du Mont and several other sites. We were short on time but could have easily spent a couple of days in... April 5 read about Jenny McCutcheon's visit to Utah Beach at venturegalleries.com This destination will be rewarding for Normandy Invasion history buffs. Beware the museum at Utah Beach is closed the months of December and January.

Utah beach complex is worth visiting. There is a big field to park in. You can see the outdoor memorial & bunkers, spend time on the accessible sandy beach, eat at the restaurant (there is a recreated WWII bar inside and the building is partly bunkers) and go to the modern museum. Since it cost 7.50 euros for adults and... More
