Ceara`s beaches are a unique combination of desert and sea. They look pretty similar - but the human touch differentiate each of hem. Canoa is unique for its nightlife. And for some natural accidents, like the FALESIAS. But its calm day contrasts deliciously with the night. Where the joy of the Cearenses show itself. More

the lagoon offers tons of flat water that you share with only a few other kiters. we've been staying at the beginning of november here and had 9 out of 10 days perfect wind conditions. only downturn is that the lagoon is 15 min buggie ride away and that due to the tide situation you cant ride all day. Worthwhile a visit. You can take a buggy and travel there. Takes 2 hours to go and return but it is a good visit. don't forget to negotiate the price of the buggy More

In the most famous beach of the rising coast (or east coast), located only 170km from Fortaleza city (around 2hrs by car), the famous Canoa Quebrada is the setting for beautiful landscapes to delight the eye of the beholder. The main attraction of Canoa Quebrada is the long beach with several beach side kiosks (beach huts/beach restaurant called as barracas)... More

Don't miss the buggy ride on the dunes, it's wonderful. You can have a tirolesa ride to a lake from the top of a high dune. The jangada ride is also a good option, as to navigate in the warm sea (it doesn't seems so, but it's relatively secure). What I did not like is the food in the barracas,... More

We had heard great things from our friends about this beach. Most of the people we know had been there several years ago, and, while it´s still a nice spot in Ceará´s coast, I believe it isn´t what it used to be a few years ago. First, let me tell you that this beach is FAR from Fortaleza. It´s a... More

Canoa Quebrada is an incredible place. 160 Km or 100 miles from Fortaleza, it is a spot that should not be missed. The “Falesias” is the high light of this area, even though the sand dunes, the Jangada (native fishing boat) rides and the Lagoa do Mato, Ponta Grossa e Redonda beach should not be forgotten. This fisherman’s village was... More

I have heard outstanding things about Canoa Quebrad which is roughly 90 minutes from Fortaleza Airport. Beautiful beaches, friendly people, good music, good food. My source is a professional travel guide from Britain. Her name is Helen Inman. She was lead guide for a trip my wife and I took across Spain and Portugal and did an outstanding job. Look... More
