The team at Sunbury are AMAZING. They helped me plan the best day of my life. As I'm from the UK. When we arrived in Barbados, I could wait to see the wedding venue, it was so much more then I had imagined. It was beautiful. We were able to sample the food... One word WOW! The owner is super... An interesting insight into how wealthy plantation owners lived. Large collection of Victorian and Edwardian artifacts. All in open view and not behind ropes or in glass cabinets. All the rooms are accessible. It was a delightful couple of hours. Best to visit first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon as midday it tends to be over... More

We went there while on Ted's Tour last week. The lunch was very nice and the mansion is beatifully organized. If you have the opportunity, you must visit! More

The Plantation house is a beautifully restored and furnished mansion situated in the mid/south of the island. It is greate to see how folks lived in the plantation days, and how beautiful the furniture was. The house tour is short but you are allowed time to roam. On our tour was demo on how to make Bajan foods and rum... More

It was interesting to look around the house and there are some amazing pieces of furniture. It did feel, particularly as we pressed on to the cellars, as if the collections of objects was becoming somewhat random "old stuff", though there were some great exhibits in there. The guide was very brief but professional. I think she was struggling as... More

The Sunbury Plantation House was really neat. I thoroughly enjoyed the period clothing, accesories, artifacts, & pictures that were on display. Guide was very informative and make sure you bring your camera. The house was a perfect stop for a Bajan lunch consisting of fried flying fish, macaroni pie, potato salad, green salad, rice&peas, and for dessert rum bread pudding... More
