This is definitely a "must-see". It is not big and impressive, but surprisingly small, and very charming. The woodcarvings are masterpieces, and you really feel a time-warp walking around this small, wooden church. Of course, it is the church that is the main attraction, but we would strongly recommend the visitors center. Very informative and nice exhibition, and very good food to (in norwegian context) affordable prices. And if you have the time, do take the walk in the woods and hills to see the historic roads as well. More

A very well preserved stave church. They are in the process of reshingling it now, which is very interesting to watch.
