An icon of Dumaguete, located opposite a very nice park and next,to the cathedral. Whilst you can't climb or see inside it is a remnant of the past and stands as a beacon for all to see. Could do with some cleaning as it is close to a busy corner and all the exhaust has discoloured it.

You can't miss it, easy parking, lots of street vendors. Visit early morning or towards evening as it can be a Cement heater. If your looking for BPI ATM its just across the street heading north.

The Bellfry is situated beside St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral in the middle of the city. It is one of the oldest bell towers in the Philippine, nice and ancient architecture. You can climb the tower and have a nice view over the area. There is an part where you can light a candle and say a prayer. Unfortunately there... More

:( we made it to the top (it was only a short climb), took pictures, read the awful graffiti on the walls where the bell was, and took the steps down again. All in under 15 minutes.

Since the City Government cut the old, big tree, the Belfry is better visible and looks more impressive as it stands out. Best to visit for picture taking during sunrise, when the first light slowly falls on the old clock tower or when the sun goes down behind the mountains of Negros oriental. While the area of the tower is... More

A nice place in the middle of the city to light a candle and say a prayer. Situated beside St. Catherine Cathedral.

This can be the marker to whoever is new to the place. Our hotel could be so near here. ...a mark to find the church and the marketplace. Very strategic. Nice old colonial structure
