If you can get a room in the Old Faithful Inn you will be able to walk out of the inn and onto a boardwalk that will take you to a great adventure. Their are more geysers here than anywhere in Yellowstone and some spectacular ones at that. Take your time and enjoy this wonderful landscape with it's pools of... More

It's a lot of walking but so well worth the walk. Make sure you have the best walking shoes. This should be a requirement upon entering Yellowstone. I absolutely LOVE...Upper Geyser Basin. So much beauty it's unbelievable and it's different each time you visit. A MUST SEE. More

This is a good geyser basin if you have the time to walk around the Old Faithful area and see each geyser. If you don't have the time, then I would recommend to see only Old Faithful here and then drive North to see the lower geyser basin. More

The Upper Basin geothermals are always spectacular, but they take on a whole new atmosphere in winter. Walks are mainly stomped down snow, so be prepared.
