Probably destined for kids, but even as an adult there's plenty of things to see here. Starting from the wonderful building (an ex-railroad station) and going through the various science exhibits, you'll probably spend almost a whole day here. There's biology, history, physics, geology, an aquarium and even a "hands on" play ground for the kids - a shame I... More

It's got some nice stuff, but has become too focused on being a children's museum. Not really enjoyable for adults without children. More

We visited the special Pompeii Exhibit to celebrate our sons' birthdays, because they wanted to go. It was expensive, but an interesting and memorable experience. If the subject is interesting to you, you will leave there an expert on ancient Pompeii, as it features hundreds of artifacts and detailed information about almost every aspect of Pompeiian culture. You will see... More

We came to Cincinnati specifically to see the A Day In Pompeii exhibit. What a fabulous artifact exhibit. We spent 2.5 hrs reading and absorbing everthing this exhibit has to offer. From the first minute you walk into the exhibit you are greated by a video describing every day life in Pompeii. You see time lines from the eruption of... More

A short drive down 75 and this wonderful museum is easily accessible for families. We enjoy a Boonshoft Museum of Discovery pass which gives us free admission to the Natural History portion. Yes there are multiple museums, traveling exhibits, food court, & Imax, all in an old train station. We have been in the Children's Museum as well, great for... More

The restored parts of the Art Deco Terminal building are fascinating, as is the original design of the Terminal. A large scale model of Cincinnati, showing different neighborhoods in different decades, occupies hundreds of square feet and has been exquisitely made. A slow descending ramp (making use of parts of the original underground car entrances to the Terminal) describes all... More

We went to the Cincy Museum on our daughter's fifth grade field trip to see the Pompeii exhibit. It was very, very interesting. They had many artifacts which have been recovered over the years, including dishes, pots, and pans, along with dental equipment, fish hooks, and jewelry. They also have plaster 'casts' of some of the folks who were simply... More

Great transportation exhibit with huge Cincinnati diorama with moving trains. Show cases different modes of transportation to and from Cincinnati, rail, trolley, flat and river boats with walk through river landing exhibit. Cincinnati's WW II response showcases the industries and people who helped win the war. Native and early american exhibits round out the education. Interesting volunteer docents helped explain... The building itself is a marvel to see. They also have the original train operations open to the public. There is the natural history museum, the Omnimax Theater, and wonderful traveling exhibits. The stores are terrific and they have yummy ice cream too! Great outing for couples and families. More

This is the old train station and it was turned into the best museum in this part of the country. Lots of things to see and do. More
