Great park just at the base of Lowell Observatory. Play and BBQ at the park and then head up the hill to watch the stars! Makes a great capture the flag park!
It’s a great place to take your kids to and the whole family even! There is enough space for everybody, without the crowds. WE can eat and have fun without feeling limited and I really like that. My family and I wouldn’t usually go out of our way to the park for a picnic, but this was all worth it.... More
I would frequently visit this park to fish. Now the pond is only about a acre in size but offers some pretty decent fishing. Now some days are always going to be better than others but I have always enjoyed coming here to fish.
The fields flooded quickly when rain began, and the games had to be cancelled for that day. The snack shack did not stay open for night games. It had the worst hot dogs, but the best pretzels.
You can go to the parking lot and pay a $6 daily fee to sit on covered picnic benches overlooking the lake. Bring a blanket and park alongside Lake Mary Road and make it a more intimate experience. We've tried both and loved both!
Lots to do here and it's all FREE!! Play tennis, dog park, kids area and frisbee golf. It's large enough so that you don't ever feel crowded. Just watch for people drinking alcohol as it's legal here in Flagstaff (weird!).
We visited this lovely park while we stayed in Flagstaff, and we really had a fun time. Thorpe is a dog park, and it`s also very suitable for children, giving them a lot of space to run around and play. There are many activities that can be done here, from hiking, to playing tennis, disc golf, and many other sports.... More
We got dinner from Chick-fil-a and had a picnic. The park was spacious, had ample parking, and was clean. It was a perfect place to have dinner away from large crowds.
My dogs and I drove up from Phoenix to spend a day in the snow. This park was recommended by a good friend who lives in the Flagstaff area. The park is large with several huge open baseball, soccer, football fields that made for an incredible snow playground for both me and the dogs. Highly recommend you visit this park,... More
